This project is about bringing awareness to the exploitation and suffering related to blood diamonds obtained from countries in Africa. The shiny polished end product is a far cry from where the original diamoinds are obtained. This memorial park located in Manhatten New York, a typical up-market location where these finished diamonds are sold, aims to highlight the different stages of obtaining the diamonds from conflict zones in Africa, such as Sierra Leone.
